The wait is over. After months of training, planning, and plenty of anticipation, Kegs Softball Club are ready to get the 2026 season underway and what a week it’s going to be.

Four teams. Four away fixtures. One massive week for the club.

The headlines don’t get much bigger than this: the Coopers take to the field for the very first time. The club’s newest side make their debut away to Ashbourne, and it’s a moment that marks a significant milestone in Kegs’ growth as a club. Every great team has to start somewhere, and this is where the Coopers’ story begins. We couldn’t be more proud to see them step up and represent the Kegs colours for the first time.

Elsewhere, Kegs open their campaign on Tuesday with an away trip to Dodder, before the Chuggers head to Navan on Wednesday looking to build on previous seasons. And rounding out the week on Thursday, the Brewers travel to face the Average Joe’s and they’ll be doing so as a Division 2 side once again. After two seasons in Division 3, the Brewers have earned their way back to the higher division, and there’s a real sense of determination around the squad to show they belong there.

It’s a week that captures everything that makes this club special: established teams pushing for more, and new ones just getting started.

Good luck to all four sides: the Coopers, Kegs, Chuggers, and Brewers. Get out there, enjoy it, and let’s make 2026 one to remember.
